Cream Sausage is very productive so you should have lots of the plump sausage shaped fruits, each up to 7cm long, to look forward too.  The flavour comes into its own when cooked: create your own thick, rich & delicious yellow tomato sauce.  This variety ripens all its fruit over a short length of time.  Determinate  Price for 12 seeds

To Make Sauce

1. Pick your tomatoes and cut away any damaged bits.
2. Peel them (it is worth it but not essential at this stage see step 7)
3. Chop them up
4. Using a heavy based pan sauté your toms in a little olive oil.  You can add garlic or/& herbs and a little salt at this stage
5. Then turn them down to a very low heat and leave to just simmer and reduce
6. Stir every 20 mins or so, scraping around the sides as the level drops, any caramelised bits can be mixed back in.  Just make sure it doesn’t ‘catch’ on the pan base, if it starts to do this reduce the heat more and stir more frequently. 
7. If you didn’t peel at the beginning you can use a large sieve part way through cooking, pushing the toms through with a flexible spatula to remove the skins at this stage
8. Reducing will take several hours so if you need to go out you can turn the pan off and then on again when you are back!
9. Enjoy your thick and creamy rich and delicious sauce - can be stored in the fridge for a few days or freeze in portions.

GROW: perfect for a sunny sheltered part of your garden.  Crimson Crush, being indeterminate, will grow tall – it can reach towards 200cm.  It will need supporting as the fruits can be large for a salad tom (200g) it is a good idea to grow as a cordon & pinch out the side shoots.  It will bloom, set new fruit and ripen fruit all at the same time throughout the season. 

EAT:  gorgeous choice for every salad right through the summer and into the autumn. 

Sometimes described as a grape variety I would say it is a mini plum as the little fruits are slightly elongated. They grow in clusters and have a sweet and tangy flavour. They do best if kept slightly on the drier side – too much watering and they will split. Very productive Indeterminate Price for 12 seeds

Defiant definitely makes a statement for flavour and BLIGHT RESISTANCE, featuring smooth globe shaped fruits with a deep red colour. Suitable for indoor or outside use, perfect for salads or slicing.  Determinate

GROW: plant in a sunny sheltered part of your garden or in a pot.  You can grow this in a greenhouse.  For the best flavour keep soil evenly damp.  Defiant is determinate, reaching 100cm it needs staking and will stop growing when fruit sets on the top truss. All the fruits ripen at about the same time (usually over period of 1- 2 weeks).

EAT:  perfect for salads or for slicing 

Fandango F1 will treat you to a heavy crop of very well flavoured deep red fruits with the additional bonus that this variety is BLIGHT TOLERANT.  Vigorous growth, fruits up to 150g, ideal for the outdoors, one to try.  Indeterminate

EAT:  cut into quarters & pop in your salads 

An excellent choice for outdoor growing. This heirloom variety is full of flavour, early to bear fruit and has a dwarf habit. Both vigorous and productive, bearing medium sized red toms, it will earn a place in your affections. Determinate Price for 12 seeds

This trailing variety abundantly produces red cherry tomatoes on long trusses. They are mouth-watering and it is hard not to snack continuously as you pass by the plants! Grow in hanging baskets or cascading over the side of a container or raised bed. Harvest this right through to the end of September. Determinate Price for 12 seeds

With Fireworks you start your harvest with a bang, this being one of the earliest larger toms at 55-68 days from transplanting.  The fruits can be 170g, some smaller, some bigger, with a balanced sweet flavour and dense flash (ideal for slicing).  Prolific, you may need to support some of the clusters. Glacier is ideal for early sowing (January/February) and planting out under cloches to encourage flower formation, followed by one of the earliest picks of the season outdoors.  Glacier continues to bear fruit for the entire season and may well give you the last picking of the year too!  This outstanding performance is matched with sweet flavoured medium sized fruits. Plants grow to about 150cm, known as a semi-bush.  Allow 50-60cm between plants.  Semi-indeterminate   Price for 12 seeds
