A lovely slim variety that does not bulb up into an onion or bolt. It has very upright dark green leaves and a pale shank, smart and tasty. Spring sowings take about 10 weeks but summer sowings (into July) are faster at 7-8 weeks. You can sow later than this for an autumn crop. Price for 100 seeds. |

This is an AGM winning Japanese type that forms long white stalks (can reach over 30cm). No need for repeat sowing as Ishikura can be harvested from pencil thin to thumb thickness at any time between June and October. You can even cut leaves for salads whilst leaving the stem to grow on.
