A strong growing, tasty and vigorous choice that can be harvested between June and November.  These onions peel easily for adding to salads and stir-fry.  The foliage is an attractive dark colour – try sowing alternate rows with a paler leaf to enjoy the colour in your garden. A spring crop is also possible from an autumn sowing

This British bred variety is one of the best. It has distinctive stiff upright leaves and being slow to bulb will give you a smooth white stem. You can even sow under cover in October for the earliest crop in the following spring Price for 100 seeds

A lovely slim variety that does not bulb up into an onion or bolt.  It has very upright dark green leaves and a pale shank, smart and tasty.  Spring sowings take about 10 weeks but summer sowings (into July) are faster at 7-8 weeks.  You can sow later than this for an autumn crop.

This is an AGM winning Japanese type that forms long white stalks (can reach over 30cm). No need for repeat sowing as Ishikura can be harvested from pencil thin to thumb thickness at any time between June and October. You can even cut leaves for salads whilst leaving the stem to grow on.
