Spring Onion Reddy

SPRING ONION REDDY ~ a delicious red skinned salad onion for spring sowing to give you both flavour and colour in your salads and cooking 100 seeds SOW: from March to May in the open (allows time to bulb). GROW: sow thinly at about 1cm deep in rows to minimise thinning. Sowing at intervals of about 3 weeks will give you a succession of onions to pull. For bulbing onions simply pull alternate plants to increase the spacing in between. EAT: pull as needed. We love these raw in our salads but we also freeze spring onions (that we have first cut into strips) to add to oriental dishes throughout the year. Bulbed onions can be used as picklers
