This type of fennel is grown mainly for its bulbous roots. It can be used as a mini vegetable and the leaves can also be used in salads. A fine crop that does well in warm moist summers.

This traditional Italian variety is best sown in June and July when our weather has warmed up a bit!  It quickly grows mild crisp white ‘bulbs’ that can be harvested from August to October
