The thin stems are purply-red with a distinctive flavour.  The colour continues up the main leaf vein and into the flowering shoots which have a sweet, delicate flavour.  This variety is best grown as a whole head, harvesting before the flower buds open.  You can grow this almost all year round, taking 40-50 days from sowing depending on the season.  Price for 50 seeds
