Sweet Success F1 is an exceptional gynoecious (all female flowers) and parthenocarpic (sets fruit without pollination) hybrid: suitable for growing outdoors or in a greenhouse. The 30cm long, straight fruits are very mild, sweet, and seedless if grown away from other varieties. In ideal conditions you can be eating these fruits in less than 10 weeks. Price for 4 seeds
SOW: inside in April/early May in individual pots, keep moist (not waterlogged) and warm.
GROW: Sweet Success can be planted at the 2/3 leaf stage indoors or outside (harden off). The fruits are produced on the main stem and so it is easy to train the plants as cordons up a single string, wire or firm frame. The fruits will be seedless if grown away from other varieties. It is always better to grow all-female cucumbers away from other types as they are affected by cross pollination.
EAT: harvest and enjoy from mid-summer to early autumn.
