So what does ‘semi-determinate’ mean?
It is not quite the same as a determinate!!!
In practice you have a variety that, like a determinate, has a push of fruiting and then continues fruiting quietly and slowly over the rest of the season (a bit like an indeterminate). The ‘branches’ that grow do not necessarily end in a terminal truss as a determinate variety will do.
The plants stay fairly compact, not quite as restricted as a determinate but nothing like the sprawling ramble of an indeterminate left to do its own thing can achieve, somewhere around 120cm… for Trailing Sunstripe you are needing to think how far those trusses may trail down…perhaps lift the containers onto a wall, use window boxes or put those hanging baskets to use.
