From mid-season onward Resistafly F1 should be one of your choices. This is an exciting British bred variety, vigorous and with a rich colour, smooth skin and blunt ended type roots combined with a good flavour. Price for 150 seeds.
SOW: at no more than 10mm deep from May to July. Remember to dig the soil thoroughly. Sow sparingly to avoid the need for too much thinning.
GROW: keep moist and weed free – they don’t like the competition. Harvest the smooth blunt ended roots from August until the end of December
EAT: enjoy the flavour when pulled fresh from the garden. Can be stored in a poly bag in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Your Resistafly carrots will freeze well too.
