This variety is part of our naturally nurtured range, the seed comes from an organic source
SOW: March to late April: we sow our leeks in modules or seed trays rather than a seed bed as we find it easier to separate them when transplanting. Seed depth 5-10mm
GROW: when they are large enough (about 15-20cm tall), plant out 1 leek per 10-15cm deep hole made with a dibber or stick. Water the leek into the hole and let the soil wash in but try not to get soil in between the leaves, sounds fiddly but leeks are worth the effort. If it is dry after planting water gently every day, otherwise just leave them to grow!
EAT: thick, pure white stems have a supreme flavour that you can enjoy right through from late winter to May
