SOW & GROW: in pots/modules under cover in February/March or April where they are to flower. Harden off pot sown plants before transplanting. They like free draining soil and will thrive in poor soil. Give them a general feed to encourage more leaves and fewer flowers. Grow this variety & enjoy the edible leaves, flowers and seed heads: Pepe is perfectly suited for use as a baby leaf. Nasturtiums can be useful as a sacrificial plant near crops such as broad beans, they are also said to be beneficial to apple trees.
EAT: flowers have been added to food for centuries. These are sweet with a hint of fruity spice whilst the leaves pack a peppery flavour. Stems can be eaten raw or cooked
