You will enjoy growing Spitfire F1, a lovely small pumpkin, a very manageable 2kg (typical weight), with a rich deep orange skin and tasty firm flesh ideal for all culinary adventures from roasting to baking and from puree to creating your own pumpkin houmous. Price for 3 seeds
SOW: in individual pots inside during April or May. You can keep them on a windowsill until sprouted then pop into a coldframe or unheated greenhouse.
GROW: keep moist and warm, ready to plant out when at 2/3 leaf stage. Harden off well before planting out. Allow about 50cm to their nearest non-pumpkin neighbour, 100cm to the nearest pumpkin, and train vines round in a neat circle. Spitfire can produce lots of fruits, leave them all on for smaller fruits or remove some and concentrate growth into a few.
EAT: these will fulfil every pumpkin culinary adventure you can imagine
