Igloo is an early variety that is great for small spaces as it is very suitable for producing mini cauliflowers if grown with close spacing. If you want larger heads then give them more space to grow! Price for 18 seeds
SOW: from February to May. We start all our cauliflowers (seed depth 15mm) in pots or modules under cover to give them a good root system & then transplant. Your February sowings can be ready from July whilst later sowings will be ready in the autumn, Sow as late as May for heads in November.
GROW: transplant about 6 weeks after sowing to final position in firm ground. Use a close spacing if you are growing them for mini cauliflowers otherwise plant at about 50cm apart, make good use of your space by close spacing and then harvest alternate ones to widen the spacing for the remaining ones to grow on. Regular watering is essential; cauliflowers do not like to get dry. Cut curds when they are tight & firm: don’t leave them on the plant too long
EAT: tasty from mini size upwards.
