Onion and Shallot

They are very easy to grow from seed and this allows you to enjoy a number of advantages: it is cheaper than sets, you have a wider choice of varieties, onions from seed are less prone to bolting and you have more flexibility with sowing times. You can start onion seeds off from January under cover through to April. Overwintering Onion.This is a super variety to give you a lovely crop of classic straw coloured onions in late June and July of next year.
