Long White Icicle is indeed very icicle like in looks (long pure white roots that taper to the root tip) as for the flavour … they will add crispness and a warming spice but not so much that they will bite you back! Slice lengthways for dipping and make a notable contrast to the more usual carrot sticks… And just 4 weeks between sowing and munching.
Price for 100 seeds
SOW & GROW: March to September. Sow the seeds in situ, 10-15mm deep aiming for about 2cm spacing. To spread out your harvest sow little rows or patches every 2 weeks. Although long these are very speedy…4 weeks. All radishes like to be moist but not waterlogged. Remember if you do need to thin them then the leaves of the thinning can be added to salads too.
EAT: enjoy them fresh with salads – why not slice lengthways for dipping and make a notable contrast to the more usual carrot sticks. Or enjoy or as a tangy snack with a little butter and black pepper.
