We think these are simply lovely: unique and delicious with pink skin on the outside and inside there are delightful pink and white rings when sliced. SOW: in April you can sow outside, sparingly 1cm deep in rows about 30cm apart. In February and March sow in trays or modules, surface sow and lightly cover then prick out when large enough. Harden off and plant out mid to late spring.
GROW: thin if necessary, they need to be 15cm apart to grow well. Keep well-watered as the bulb swells. Your onions will prefer plenty of sunshine: shade and competition from weeds result in smaller bulbs!
