Also known as Indian Spinach, Bassela and Lo Kui, this is something quite out of the ordinary. Grow it in the greenhouse or conservatory (it is a tropical plant and likes warmth through glass) and harvest the heart shaped leaves as you need them for use in salads, soups and stir fries and also as a streamed veg. The fleshy stems and tips are also edible. There is a lot of good eating on this mild spinach flavoured productive plant; indeed it is an excellent alternative to spinach during the summer. Careful harvesting will allow this to continue to grow happily throughout the season and with some support it may well climb for you as it is naturally twining. Price for 20 seeds
