The tightly packed creamy coloured heads are surrounded by broad, bright green leaves with serrated edges. This heirloom variety dates back to the 1860’s. This heirloom variety has beautiful, deeply cut, frilly large leaves with white stems. They add a crisp texture (and flavour) to salads or you can cook them! It is resistant to cold and wet weather, a great autumn/winter green for your garden.
