Tomato Tumbling Tom - Red

Tumbling Tom Red has wonderful sweet flavoured cherry red fruits. A popular variety, the plants have a cascading habit that makes them perfect for growing in hanging baskets or tumbling over the edge of a container. Determinate.

SOW: start in spring 5-7 weeks before you plan to plant out, 1.5mm deep in good seed compost, germination takes 7-14 days at 24°C

GROW: transplant, when large enough, to small pots and grow on in cooler well-lit conditions. Plant 1 per 30cm hanging basket, water well and grow on until well rooted. Harden off before hanging outside after all risk of frost has passed. Feed regularly. Tumbling Tom is also ideal to grow over the edge of containers on the patio or hanging over a tall, raised bed.
