This Privacy Policy explains how MoreVeg Seeds (the "Site", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from morevegseeds.myshopify.com (the "Site") or otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site (collectively, the "Services"). What personal information do we collect?

Information we collect directly from you

·         Contact details including your name, address, phone number (optional), and email.

·         Order information including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment confirmation, email address, and phone number.

·         Customer support information including the information you choose to include in communications with us, for example, when sending a message

Your normal contact details allow us to dispatch your orders or contact you directly using the contact details you provided.

Information we collect using cookies

·         We may also automatically collect certain information about visitor use of the website using cookies. 

·         Please remember cookies do not contain any of your personal information. 

·         Cookies can be helpful…remembering items in your shopping cart is a good example.  You can set your browser not to accept cookies however in a few cases some of our website features may not function as a result.

This information that is collected helps us pinpoint and prioritise what we can do to improve & provide you with customer support, it can tell us about what our customers actually need and prefer so that we can focus on that, and the information supports us to maintain security standards and regulatory compliance.  We are fully GDPR compliant; the legal basis for these data processing activities is our legitimate interest in selling our products, and in keeping our website secure for you and other customers according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Do we share your personal information?

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us deliver our services — such as email platforms or marketing partners — under strict confidentiality and data protection terms.

What about Credit Card and other payment information?

We do not take payment details directly.  When you pay through the webshop your card payment details go through a secure payment gateway which takes your payment details and processes the payment. MoreVeg does not handle this information and we never have access to the full details you entered.  We are told when a payment has been made and we are able to process refunds, nothing else. 

How long do we keep hold of your information?

It depends - your details are kept on our secure data base whilst you remain a customer or continue to receive our newsletters or marketing information.  Some data is needed to comply with legal obligations

Can I access the information you hold about me?

Yes, data law allows you to know what information we hold about you and how we use that information.  In compliance with GDPR we keep data accurate, up to date and only store for as long as needed. We don’t ask for unnecessary information and protect the data we have.  You can ask us about your data, to delete it, to restrict processing, to object, or to lodge a complaint if you believe your data is being used incorrectly. You can opt out of newsletter and marketing communications or withdraw consent at any time. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or orders that you have made.

Newsletters

You are asked if you would like to receive our monthly newsletters which tell you about money-saving special offers, what we have been up to (!) and a general gardening interest feature.  You can unsubscribe at any time

Marketing

From time to time we’d like to send you information about our vegetable, herb and flower varieties that may be of interest to you, but of course you may opt out of these.

Our privacy policy only applies to our own website. It is a good idea to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.
