Plum shaped with a slightly pointy bottom! Roma produces meaty tomatoes have high levels of sugar, acids, and pectin along with less moisture than normal tomatoes. This makes them perfect for cooking down into thick sauces and paste. We highly recommend them at the top choice for cooking with. They are delightful as a grilled or stuffed tomato too. BLIGHT TOLERANT. Determinate
SOW & GROW: we about 6-8 weeks before the last frost is expected sowing in modules (cover or put on a windowsill). Transplant when large enough to handle & grow on until ready to harden off, planting (after frost danger has passed) in a sunny sheltered part of your garden or in a pot. You can grow this in a greenhouse. For the best flavour keep soil evenly damp & don’t overfeed. Roma, being determinate, stops growing when fruit sets on the top bud. All the fruits ripen at about the same time (usually over period of 1- 2 weeks).
ENJOY: these are lovely in salads, make good sauces & are also a good choice for drying
