Tomato Homestead

Heirloom Homestead produces generously sized bold red fruits that are firm, meaty and full of flavour. They’re perfect for sandwiches, salads, slicing and grilling, and they make a rich, delicious tomato sauce too. This is a disease-resistant variety and a real heat lover. SOW: seed depth 5mm, start about 6-8 weeks before the last frost is expected sowing in modules (cover or put on a windowsill).  Transplant to pots when large enough to handle & grow on until ready to harden off after frost danger has passed.
GROW: this heat lover is best planted in the greenhouse, a conservatory or grow house.  They are happy with humidity, ideal if growing with aubergines.  For the best flavour keep soil evenly damp and don’t overfeed.  Homestead is semi-determinate they produce tomatoes through the season until they stop growing by 150cm tall.
