Supreme Bellandine F1 has magnificent horn-shaped fruits with superb colour, fabulous favour and virtually no seeds. That elegant shape and flavour come from the French heirloom known as the "Horn of the Andes". Add VFN resistance to wilts and root-attacking nematodes and you have an unusual combination of heirloom character and modern disease resistance. Indeterminate.
Sow: we start about 6-8 weeks before our last frost is expected, sowing 5mm deep into modules. Keep under cover or on a warm windowsill. Transplant to pots when large enough to handle and grow on until ready to harden off and plant after frost danger has passed.
Grow: plant in the greenhouse or in a sunny sheltered part of your garden. For the best flavour keep soil evenly damp and try not to over-water or overfeed. Bellandine is indeterminate, it will bloom, set new fruit and ripen fruit all at the same time until the first frosts.
Enjoy: consider this a gourmet multipurpose tomato: grill, roast, slice in salads and sandwiches, dry them or cook into a sweet and rich aromatic sauce, this is one tomato that can do it all, And wonderfully well too!
