Sweet Corn Northern Extra Sweet F1

The earliest of the supersweet corns. Northern Extra Sweet F1 is especially well suited for cooler areas with a shorter growing season. This corn will give you tasty long cobs.  It has been a really reliable performer for us.

SOW: inside from mid-April to early May in deep pots, or from May to June outside - seed depth 15mm

GROW: harden off when about 15cm tall and after frost danger has passed.  Plant them in a block with the plants and rows about 30-50 cm apart.  Sweetcorn is wind pollinated.  Northern Extra Sweet can grow to 1.8m

ENJOY: cobs are ready to harvest when the juice from a kernel is ‘milky’.  As soon as possible after picking pop into a pan of boiling water for about 10 minutes - fabulous
