SOW: between late April and the end of May, start 1 seed per pot or module, 20-25mm deep. Keep moist but not waterlogged. Harden off & plant out in June
GROW: they like a sunny spot with lots of organic matter dug in. ‘Plant’ a plastic bottle (upside down with the base cut off) close to each plant so that you can direct water to their roots. After harvesting in October leave them outdoors for about 14 days to harden the skin for storing (protect from frost) or ripen in a greenhouse or sunny windowsill.
