A lush tasty squash that almost looks too good to eat! Cornells Bush Delictata has a creamy skin with green stripes and speckles. It has an excellent flavour, ready in 11-12 weeks, and is rich in potassium and vitamins. It can be baked, steamed, roasted, grilled or even punctured and put in the microwave for a quick snack.
Sow: between late April to end of May, start 1 seed per pot or module, 20-25mm deep.
Grow: keep moist but not waterlogged. Harden off and plant out after all danger of frost has passed. In cooler areas you can protect young plants with cloches until they have settled in. This variety has an excellent flavour and is ready in 11-12 weeks. After harvest leave them outdoors for about 14 days to harden the skin for storing (protect from frost) or ripen in a greenhouse.
