Spring Onion Parade

Parade, with its straight and slim profile, is a great tasting juicy choice that does not bulb giving you the classic long white shaft and fresh green leaves above.  If you love the versatility of spring onions (also known as Scallions) this strong growing variety can be grown all year round, overwintered with protection.
This variety is part of our naturally nurtured range, the seed comes from an organic source.

SOW & GROW: you can sow a small pinch in module or individually in plugs to transplant or in rows in situ. From March to August in the open (sowings in February, September & October need protection) sow sparingly at 10-15mm deep in rows to minimise thinning.  Sowing a little every 2-3 weeks will give you crops throughout the season (perhaps alternate sowings with another of our spring onion varieties).

 
ENJOY: pull as needed from pencil slim, mature from 12 weeks.  Perfect for salads and easy to freeze (cut into strips) to add to oriental dishes throughout the year.
