Rhubarb Victoria

Juicy medium sized stalks with an intense colour. This variety, Victoria, will give good yields when established. It is renowned for its naturally sweet flavour. It is a good choice for areas that have later Springs. 

SOW: the seeds in spring, one or two seeds in each small pot (seed depth 10-20mm) and keep indoors until they have sprouted.  Pot on into individual medium sized pots when large enough to handle.

GROW & ENJOY: harden off then plant out the strongest plants in their permanent position in June/July at least 30 cm apart.  Nurture them – keep them well watered and mulch to retain moisture.  Don’t be tempted to eat any yet!  Wait until the plants are big and strong enough before carefully picking a few stems from each next year.  Victoria is a mid-season variety that you will enjoy for many years to come
