Pepper Tangerine Dream

Grow a splash of colour and flavour with Pepper Tangerine Dream.  Ripening to a bold orange-red these tapered 7cm fruits will pepper your compact plants – they are prolific, mild, very sweet, delicious with the merest hint of warmth.  Perfection on your plant and plate, perfect for salad snacking, stuffing, grilling, pickling…and more!  Plants reach 40-50cm in size.

SOW: surface sow March to May and just cover (3-5mm).  You can use gentle heat whilst germinating18-21°C. You can sow earlier if you have warm growing conditions. When large enough to handle pot on.  Ready to plant up when about 10cm tall.

GROW: happy in containers, harden off before putting any outside, also happy in a well-ventilated conservatory or greenhouse.  Pinching out the growing tip when 15cm tall will encourage bushier growth but delay fruiting.  Fruits appear all over the plants and ripen to an eye-catching bold orange-red, very ornamental and great fun.

ENJOY: almost irresistible to just pick and bite into, serve in salads or cook these delicious little fruits.  That hint of heat will depend on the growing conditions you give them!
