Waverex is a very productive of petit pois with a very sweet flavour - so sweet that you can add these raw to your salads. This popular AGM winning variety can crop from early July to the end of September from sowing in March to June. With a dwarf compact habit, you will be harvesting a fine crop of round pods over a long period of time.

To be an AGM winner means that this variety has been outstanding in trials: reliable and with great garden performance

SOW: sow from March to June, we start our peas in pots (3-5 in each for Waverex) to plant out in clumps. Sowing in guttering to be slid into place has become popular. They can also be sown in situ. This popular variety can provide you with a succession of crops from early July to the end of September by sowing every three to four weeks from early spring to early summer.

GROW: pot grown plants need to be hardened off before planting out. Although dwarf to 60cm clumps of Waverex will enjoy some pea stick supports. All peas like moisture and will tolerate light shade, in dry summers they will need to be watered. Picking regularly will encourage more peas!

EAT & ENJOY: our peas often don't get as far as our kitchen – these petit pois are especially sweet & tempting. Great in salads, thrown into a risotto, steamed or for freezing. We think they're best eaten within 30 minutes of picking for maximum sweetness!
