Pea Deliket

Deliket is fabulous: it has a dwarf compact habit & produces a fine crop of round pods over a long period of time. With an AGM reflecting its qualities this sugar snap pea is a delicious addition to your meals. Use young pods whole and if any stay hidden on the plant they can be shelled.

To be an AGM winner means that this variety has been outstanding in trials: reliable and with great garden performance

SOW: from March to June. We start ours 3 seeds to a pot to give them a fighting chance against the mice. Sowing in guttering to be slid into place has become popular. They can also be sown in situ.

GROW: pot grown plants need to be hardened off before planting out. Peas like moisture and will tolerate light shade. Water in dry summers. Pick regularly to encourage more growth. Deliket, being dwarf, does not need canes or netting to climb however they may appreciate some pea sticks to help them withstand gusty winds.

EAT & ENJOY: pick when green and plump and easily snapped in half for use sliced raw or lightly cooked. Young pods can be used whole and if any stay hidden on the plant you can leave them to grow on for shelling.
