SOW
Sow in prepared ground where you want the flowers to grow, from April to May (or March if you’re in a very mild area). Just cover the seeds lightly. Germination usually takes about 3 weeks.
You can also sow in August or September to overwinter and get flowers the following late spring.
GROW
Thin seedlings so they have enough space to grow, then enjoy mid-summer blooms from spring sowings, or late spring flowers from autumn sowings.
ENJOY:
This beauty shines in the border and makes a striking cut flower. For longer-lasting blooms, cut the flower while still in bud and quickly sear the stem ends with a match before placing in water. Pair it with plants like Alchemilla that offer contrasting foliage or flowers for an eye-catching display.
