SOW: late April then onwards through the summer. Your last sowing can be 6 weeks before you expect the first frosts. You can sow in modules and plant out when young, or sow in situ and use the thinnings in salads or replant them in cooler weather.
GROW: space 15-20cm apart. This variety will give its best yield during the summer, as the autumn progresses growth is less vigorous and you may need to use cloches if the weather becomes inclement.
EAT & ENJOY: you can cut individual leaves or slice the head off about 2.5cm above the soil and leave that to resprout. All parts can be used in salads when young or cooked lightly (steam or stir-fry) when mature.
