To be an AGM winner means that this variety has been outstanding in trials: it is a reliable garden performer

SOW: a little seed every 2-3 weeks March to August will give you a succession of lettuces. You can direct sow these or, to give them a start away from slugs & snails, you can start them in modules and transplant with less need to thin. Do avoid sowing in very warm weather.

GROW: plant out when large enough to do so at about 20-25cm. Ready after about 10 weeks from transplanting. All lettuces like regular watering in warm weather.

EAT & ENJOY: fresh in salad – experience the flavour on its own (with the lovely array of colours) or try mixing with a range of other leaves such as Shungiku, Amaranth or Okahijiki.
