SOW: seed depth 5mm either in trays in autumn or February/March, transplanted into pots and grown on, planting out late May to early June OR direct sow in April/May/June and thin to 45cm apart. Germination takes 2 to 3 weeks.

GROW: these prefer a sunny spot in the middle or towards the back of a border. They also make an excellent container plant.

ENJOY: these quickly fill spaces in your garden with large yet delicate looking blooms on sturdy plants. They are popular with bees and other pollinators. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering, if you allow some to develop seeds for the following year you can enjoy another round of flowers although over time all will revert to the same dominant colour through cross pollination
