Quickstar F1 can be both quick and early… in 6-7 weeks of growing a crop of firm, smooth round green rabi will be ready. These are tasty raw or cooked – think water chestnut flavour straight from your garden: crisp, juicy & sweet.
SOW & GROW: from early February to the end of June. Early crops should be sown in modules with protection, from April you can sow direct. Seed depth 10mmm. Transplant seedlings and crop thinnings when no more than 5cm tall. Aim for a 10cm spacing. After 6-7 weeks of growing a crop of firm, smooth round green rabi will be ready.
ENJOY: tasty raw or cooked – think water chestnut flavour straight from your garden, try sliced and tossed in a stir-fry. Slice into sticks for a nutritious and a flavourful snack. Dice and add to soups or stews. Your Feb sowing could be feeding you in May!
