Helianthus Soluna Lemon has beautiful soft yellow blooms.  At 8cm across these are perfect for cutting and arranging or using for a bouquet.  This is a branching type, almost bushy in growth, and they’re covered with flowers.  In their natural habitat these are coastal plants, happy in poor soil and salt tolerant.  In your garden they will be floriferous in borders or pots or a highlight in your cutting garden.  Pollinators love them and birds enjoy their tiny seeds at the end of the year.
🌸 Flowering: July to October
📏 Height: 80 to 120cm
🌿Annual
SOW: indoors in March to May in pots or modules, about 1cm deep. They like about 20C warmth.  Germination takes 1-2 weeks.  In milder areas, you can also sow outdoors from April, either in pots or direct where they’re to flower.  These are quick growing and can bloom 10 weeks from sowing
GROW:  harden off and plant out at 20-40cm apart.  Helianthus Debilis are tolerant of poor & dry soils and the salt laden winds of coastal gardens - also perfectly happy inland. Deadhead to prolong flowering to early October.
ENJOY: free flowering, charming and cheerful variety, tolerates dry poor soils and coastal situations.  Pollinator friendly and a food source for birds into the winter.  Good choice for cutting.
