Four Flowery Newcomers
We’ve already been banging our drum about some of the new veggies joining MoreVeg, so surely our new flowers deserve a bit of fanfare too!
And there’s certainly plenty to get excited about here. There are fabulous colours, flowers that demand a second look and, of course, a Sweet Pea because we can never resist finding room for another one of those.
So, let’s say hello to four of our flowery newcomers...
Antirrhinum Lucky Lips – softly fragrant, two-tone blooms in white and rich pink, full of old-fashioned charm. Long-lasting garden colour, excellent for cutting and loved by pollinators too. Happy in sun or light shade and growing to around 60cm. (150 seeds)
Chrysanthemum Painted Daisy – large, vivid flowers with striking rings of colour around dark centres, and part of the fun is seeing which colours appear. Pollinator friendly, a superb cut flower and with edible petals too. Growing to around 60cm. (50 seeds)
Eschscholtzia Mikado – this one positively glows, with vibrant orange centres changing to hot-red at the petal edges. Loved by bees and other pollinating insects, RHS recommended for pollinators and growing to around 30cm (100 seeds)
Sweet Pea Promise – highly scented, beautifully ruffled pink and white blooms, each with its own slightly different colour variation. Lovely just as they are or paired with darker colours. Growing to around 180-240cm tall. (15 seeds)
Surely there’s room in your seed box for this flowery foursome!
