Delphinium Guinevere

Delphinium Guinevere has bright lavender-rose, satiny flowers with a splash of white at the centre of each bloom. These tall, elegant plants are perfect for the back of your border. Bees and butterflies love them, and they also make lovely cut flowers. They flower best in full sun.

SOW & GROW
You can start sowing early in January or early February if you want flowers the same year. Otherwise, sow between March and May. Use seed trays or pots and cover the seeds lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep them warm at about 15–18°C. They usually sprout pretty quickly—in 2–3 weeks.

Once they’ve grown a bit, pot them up and keep growing them on. If you started early, you can plant them out in summer. If you sowed later, keep them over winter in a cold frame—they’ll die back in winter but come back next year.

Delphiniums take a couple of years to reach their full size, so give them plenty of room—about 50cm apart. And watch out for slugs—they love these plants!
