Midnight F1 - these tidy, well-behaved compact plants produce slightly speckled dark green fruit, tender with a delightful flavour.

Tondo Chiaro Di Nizza - a delicious heritage variety, compact plants producing round courgettes.  Bake them whole with a knob of butter at golf ball size, stuff them at grapefruit size.

Tromborcino Albenga - simply amazing gently curved fruits with bell ends – for the most eye-catching fruit encourage them to climb to see the fab fruits in all their glory!  Pick at 30cm but leave at least one to stretch out to its full potential.
