Bring your herb garden indoors.
Fresh growth and lovely flavours can be growing away on your windowsill or well-lit shelf, ready and waiting to pop straight into your cooking.
No need to don a coat, scarf and gloves and make a trip out to the winter garden to see what might still be surviving. Your herb garden can be right there indoors with you!
Home grown and handy, with fresh flavours to enjoy and more growing for the seasons ahead.
Basil Bosham: grab a convenient handful of Bosham and add it to your cooking within minutes of serving to get that full flavour at its best.  Use in sauces, make pesto or shred into a salad. A robust basil that can survive the odd forgotten watering on your windowsill! (40 seeds)
Celery Leaf: celery flavoured leaves rather than stems, ready to snip whenever you need them. Use for flavouring dishes or eating in salads. Treat it as a cut-and-come-again or let it grow a little larger for stronger flavours. (50 seeds)
Coriander Filtro: a bright, zesty flavour with a hint of citrus.  This is an extra leafy variety, so grow in a pot somewhere handy and grab a few leaves whenever dinner needs them. Think salsa, curry, and soup. (100 seeds)
Mountain Mint: a hot, spicy, mint-like flavour that makes a great seasoning. Snip a little into your cooking when you want something with a bit more oomph. An autumn sowing can get this perennial underway, ready for plenty more growth to come. It can also be used as a fragrant freshener in drawers and cupboards. (about 100 seeds)
Oregano – a kitchen favourite that earns its windowsill space. Snip the leaves fresh into tomato sauces, pasta, pizza and Mediterranean dishes, adding them towards the end of cooking for the best flavour. (100 seeds)
Stridolo – an aromatic flavour somewhere between tarragon and rocket but milder. This is a rather uncommon herb and a lovely one to have within reach. Use the leaves in omelettes, add them to rice dishes or toss them into mixed salads. (100 seeds)
Get those pots sown and keep fresh flavour within arm's reach this winter!
