Chilli Hot Lemon

Hot Lemon brings together the spicy kick of a cayenne with a distinctive citrus aroma and flavour. Maturing from green to bright yellow, the chillies have a crinkled, tender skin and grow on medium-tall, branching plants.  Happy plants will produce plenty!  You can pick them while green for a more delicate flavour or left to mature for the full experience.  SHU 30,000 to 50,000.
SOW: from February to May, indoors in warm soil barely cover the seeds as they need light to germinate.  At the 2/3 leaf stage pot up to 7cm pots and grow on.  At 10cm tall pot up to 25cm pots or growbags
GROW: wait until June before moving plants outside (harden off first) to a sunny, sheltered position or grow them in the greenhouse/conservatory. Allow the surface to dry between waterings, after the first flowers appear, feed weekly.  Pinching out the growing tip will encourage an even bushier plant.  Plants grow to around 45cm  
ENJOY: make your own hot chilli sauce with a naturally citrusy tang, use in marinades or salsas, add to stir fries or tomato sauces, or try them green for a zing in salad and with chicken or fish.
