For flexible sowing and steady harvesting, All Year Round is hard to beat. With two main sowing windows – spring and autumn – it’s an ideal candidate for successional sowing every few weeks to keep cauliflowers coming. A reliable, traditional variety that lives up to its name.
SOW: March to May to harvest in July through to September. Sow September to November, overwinter in a cold frame and plant out in spring for harvesting around 25 weeks later. We start all our cauliflowers in pots or modules under cover to give them a good root system & then transplant.
GROW: transplant about 6 weeks after sowing to final position in firm ground, space about 60cm apart. Regular watering is essential; cauliflowers do not like to get dry. Cut the curds when they are tight & firm don’t leave them on the plant too long
EAT & ENJOY: raw or cooked. To Freeze – separate into even sized florets, blanch for 3 minutes, plunge into cold water, drain and pack into portions.
