Carrot Romance F1

Romance F1 is an impressive variety with a deep orange colour, straight roots, and a neat blunt tip – all wrapped around a naturally sweet flavour. It’s ideal for early sowings under cover, and you can continue right through to late July. Ready to pull from around 11 weeks after sowing.

SOW: at no more than 10mm deep from February with protection to July. Early spring before mid-March or from July can avoid the worst of the carrot fly. Use cloches to warm the soil and protect early crops. Remember to dig the soil well & sow sparingly to avoid the need for too much thinning.

GROW: keep growing carrots and weed free – they don’t like the competition. Romance can be pulled from 11 weeks after sowing.

ENJOY: young carrots are perfect grated raw in salads. Or slice and cook for a simple side dish. For something a bit different, mash them with potato or swede to add a naturally sweet twist.
