Carrot Resistafly

From mid-season onward, Resistafly F1 is a great variety to include in your sowing plan. This vigorous British-bred carrot is specifically developed for improved resistance to carrot fly, making it a solid choice if you’ve had pest problems in the past. Expect rich colour, smooth skin, and blunt-ended roots with consistently good flavour.

SOW: at no more than 10mm deep from May to July. Remember to dig the soil thoroughly. Sow sparingly to avoid the need for too much thinning.

GROW: keep moist and weed free – they don’t like the competition. Harvest the smooth blunt ended roots from August until the end of December

ENJOY: tasty fresh from the garden and stores well in the fridge for up to two weeks. For longer keeping, simply blanch and freeze – this variety handles it well.
