Purple Sun F1 features fabulous deep purple colour throughout combined with a sweet flavour to make this carrot the pick of the bunch. You can pull as a baby carrot or let it grow larger, use it in salads or cooked (when cooked it keeps its colour): an all-round winning choice.
SOW: between March and June. Remember to dig the soil well, make a drill no more than 1cm deep & sow sparingly to avoid the need for too much thinning. Sowing in early spring before mid-March (warm the soil with the cloches) or after late June can help avoid carrot fly.
GROW: keep carrots moist and weed free – they don’t like the competition. Purple Sun can be pulled as a baby carrot or leave for longer for bigger carrots!
