Attilio F1 is a versatile, sweet, and succulent carrot—just as good raw in summer salads as it is cooked in winter dishes. The stump-ended roots are tough and less likely to snap when lifting, even when they grow up to 20cm long. Smooth-skinned and richly coloured, they’re as good-looking as they are tasty.
SOW: at no more than 10mm deep between April and July for a crop between June (from the earliest sowings) to the end of November. Sowing from late June can help avoid carrot flies. Remember to dig the soil thoroughly. Sow sparingly to avoid the need for too much thinning.
GROW: keep moist and weed free – they don’t like the competition. Attilio roots do not break easily when digging them up – just as well as they can reach to 20cm long.
ENJOY: as delicious in a summer salad as they are when cooked in the winter, sweet and succulent. Carrots can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. To Freeze - slice or dice, blanch for 3 minutes, plunge in cold water, drain and pack into convenient sized potions.
