SOW: sow in July and August, either directly where you want them to flower or in modules to move later. We usually go for modules, since the final planting spots are often still busy with summer plants! Germination takes about 2 weeks, so they’re up and growing pretty quickly.
GROW: think ahead to where you’d like a bit of winter colour, and pop them in once there’s space. In containers, you can plant them quite snugly. Out in the garden, give them a bit more room—15–20cm apart is just right.
ENJOY: we’ve found Wintersun to flower reliably from autumn into winter — and in a sheltered spot near the house, some have even bloomed right through to March. A hardy, feel-good plant that keeps your garden glowing when little else is in flower.
