There is something wonderfully optimistic about sowing spinach in spring. Just as the garden is waking up, you can be picking your own glossy, tender leaves in just a few short weeks.

Spring freshness really can start here. Homegrown spinach is miles away from the tired supermarket bags. It’s vibrant, succulent and full of goodness. Pick it young for salads or let it bulk up for cooking, just remember it has that famous shrinking trick once it hits the pan.

This trio brings subtle differences in leaf shape, texture and flavour, so you can discover your own favourite and enjoy spinach at its very best.

Harp F1 – distinctive pointed leaves with gentle serration, smooth and dark green. Excellent flavour at every stage, whether picked young for salads or allowed to mature for cooking. A strong and reliable performer.

Matador – large, smooth leaves with outstanding taste and texture.  Reliable, prolific and awarded an AGM for superb garden performance. A classic choice that rarely disappoints.

Trombone F1 – smooth leaved and succulent, versatile and tasty with a slightly softer texture. Pick early for baby leaves or allow to reach full size for generous harvests. A variety that quietly earns its place in the spring veg patch.
