Golden Acre – a compact, tasty, small ballhead cabbage with a long cropping season and a brilliant bonus. Once you cut the first cabbage, make a simple cross cut in the remaining stump and secondary growth will form, giving you a second, miniature cabbage from the same plant. A real value variety that keeps on giving.

Red Express – One of the very best choices for early sowing. Ideal for February starts under protection, it copes well with cold conditions and is perfect for gardeners keen to get going early. Plants form compact, solid, flavour-packed cabbages and can also be grown just 15cm apart for a crop of mini veg.
