🌱 Seasonal Growing Guide
SPRING
- Sow seeds in pots or plug trays. If sowing in early spring, use bottom heat to encourage germination.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, pot them up and continue to grow on.
- Water early in the day to reduce the risk of damping off.
SUMMER
- Pinch out flower buds to keep the plant leafy and prolong harvest.
- Pick leaves regularly for best flavour.
AUTUMN
- With some care, you can extend your harvest into winter.
- Plants may need feeding or repotting to keep them vigorous.
ENJOY: Thai Basil is often used in Southeast Asian cuisine, particularly in dishes like green curries and stir-fries. Add big handfuls of whole leaves to green & red curries & spicy stir-fried dishes; add sprigs to vegetable platters to nibble with spicy salads and chilli dips.
