SOW: In pots or plug trays (avoid using seed trays) in spring. Use bottom heat or wait until mid-spring, water well early in the day. Transplant the seedlings when large enough & after frost risk has passed.

GROW: It is very successful in pots.

Spring – sow them.

Summer – pinch out to prevent flowering and harvest leaves

Autumn – bring a pot into the house, dig up old plants from the garden and prepare for next year.

Thai Basil is often used in Southeast Asian cuisine, particularly in dishes like green curries and stir-fries.  Add big handfuls of whole leaves to green & red curries & spicy stir-fried dishes; add sprigs to vegetable platters to nibble with spicy salads and chilli dips.
